Effect: converts a close range swing into a mid-range cutting attack by displacing air pressure with the blade of the Ninja’s sword. The Chakra is spent within the users musculature allowing for a swing with exponentially more power to literally push high pressured air toward an enemy with enough force to knock them back or over, allowing for a succession of follow up normal cutting attacks.

Effect: Creates an electric sheath around the blade, increasing in striking power. This ability remains for 2 turns after Raiton Ken is dispelled, any hit with this blade inflicts Stun.
Description: Flowing chakra along the blade, electricity is generated and flown along the blade. Any elemental abilities that are not lightning based of their blade are impossible to use while this effect is in place. The blade gains the ability to stun an opponent whenever it strikes, conductive objects also allow the lightning to spread.

Description: Raiton Ken is a popular blade for the Samurai, as Lightning is an element which bypasses defence. By charging the blade with Raiton Chakra, one can perform Raiton Kenjutsu as well as break through barriers. Any form of shield, no matter the element, takes an additional amount of damage per strike equal to this technique's rank.

Effect: Creates a blade of chakra that increases striking power. This effect stacks with any one elemental blade. This effect also allows it to block other techniques. Upon taking damage each to the number in the parenthesis, the effect is dispelled for one turn, before it can be activated again. It requires a burst of chakra too activate, and small amounts to continue using. EG: A D-Rank Doton Ken can stop 250 damage before being dispelled.
Description: Considered the most difficult of the six blade techniques, Chakra Ken Kyouka increases the ability of the blade on all parameters. The blades durability and damage increase by skill level. This blade is needed to master certain Kenjutsu.

Background
Born in the distant Land of Lightning to Clan Ninja from the lands of Lightning and Water, Jarael’s formative years were led peacefully enough, learning to craft and wield Katana and Nodachi alongside her father. Word of her father’s forging techniques soon spread and eventually the young family were called upon to craft a Nodachi for a warlord with designs on the throne of Lightning.
Jarael’s father recognised the evil in the man’s heart and refused to craft the weapon, despite higher offers from the warlord. Insulted by the man’s refusal, the warlord dispatched several assassins. A few days later, while Jarael was bathing in a nearby stream, the Assassins killed her parents with poison gas. Returning home to the massacre Jarael was overwhelmed by the killing intent honed in her countless hours of training and began to track the Assassins, first killing them before working her way back to the Warlord, dispatching him with Iajutsu.
Over the next few years, Jarael honed her craft and skills as a sword wielding Ninja, often clashing with the various Ninja Clans throughout the shinobi world. No longer feeling at home in the land of Lightning she journeyed to the Land of Water, her maternal home where she hoped to find a new family.
Now 16, Jarael began to hear of the exploits of Nichidoku Noriko, another young Kunoichi. Sensing a new purpose she vowed to meet with this remarkable young woman, and if moved by her cause, would join it.
Over the next two years Jarael served Nichidoku Noriko diligently, even helping to craft the weapons her shinobi were using. Finally when the foundations for Kirigakure were being laid, Jarael was pronounced a Jounin.
